Choosing public sector data records for your marketing campaigns

More Than Words’ public sector database contains accurate and up-to-date contact details for decision makers within the public sector segmented by the type of public body they work for and their funding budgets.

According to official statistics, the UK Government spends £284 billion a year on buying goods and services from suppliers. This is around a third of all public expenditure. Unlike many other sectors, the public sector marketplace focuses on best long-term value and not on price.

Use public sector data to communicate with key decision makers and a need for your products and services.

Our back-up support services mean that, over the course of 12 months, we’re there to help you as much as possible to generate the maximum number of new leads and contacts from your marketing.

Three different ways to promote your products and services

Our government data offers you three different ways to market to public sector decision makers – by email, by post, and by phone.

If you want to use all three channels, you’ll need to select your target audience from our complete public sector database.

Our complete database contains the contact details for over 250,000 buyers, separated by public sector body, including:

  • government (local government, as well as civil service, central, and regional government departments),
  • Housing Associations and other local authorities,
  • care homes,
  • higher education,
  • parish councils,
  • further education,
  • the NHS and social care,
  • dental practices and more.

Building your bespoke public sector database list

Once you’ve chosen how you want to market to your target audience, how do we build a bespoke data list of interested buyers for your company?

In consultation with you, we’ll interrogate our public sector data to find the right decision makers based upon:

  • the type of organisation and department they work for (local authority, cabinet office, home office, etc),
  • each contact’s level of seniority and the areas of procurement they’re responsible for,
  • their annual spend, and
  • which geographical areas they serve.

On each of our datasets, we provide a significant amount of additional public sector information which you can use to better tailor your message to your target audiences.

After-sales support

Once you have received your data from us, you have 12 months to use it.

If you need help using the data during this time, phone or email our technical support team.

By choosing to buy public sector data from the data marketing specialists, you’re working with an experienced team of:

  • quality data professionals,
  • outbound marketers, and
  • analytics experts

with experience in helping clients sell to public sector decision makers.

Benefits of using the public sector database for email marketing campaigns

Email marketing offers your company direct email inbox access to decision makers in charge of budgets for purchasing your products and services.

As you onboard new clients from your email marketing campaigns, you can then use those revenues to establish an even greater presence.

Consider using highly effective telemarketing and direct mail marketing campaigns to help achieve this.

When done well, according to the Direct Marketing Association, email marketing yields an estimated 4,300 percent ROI.

Benefits of using public sector data for telemarketing campaigns

Telemarketing works really well with public sector decision makers because of the personal connection it creates.

With telemarketing campaigns you can build relationships, really understand clients’ needs, and use what you find in conversation to generate leads and close sales.

Benefits of using our public sector database for direct mail marketing campaigns

Not only is direct mail more likely to be opened and read, it is also easier to make personal to your recipient. At the most basic level, addressing each direct mail message to an individual helps it to feel more exclusive.

Physical mail already feels more valuable to recipients than something intangible like email.

Use direct mail to provide a free sample, a brochure or a catalogue helps you to demonstrate what your business does and why your prospect should care.

We've recently worked with Scott. He was outstanding from our initial conversation, through to data acquisition and subsequent email marketing campaign. I have nothing but good words to say about him, the company and the service they provided. I should add that we were a little hesitant before agreeing to work with Scott due to a bad experience with another provider. He was extremely empathetic towards our predicament and ultimately guided us through the onboarding and service delivery. He clearly knows he's stuff.
