A comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date NHS email database from More Than Words who are one of the UK’s fastest-growing data companies.

Our NHS email database contains the direct inbox emails of 39,829 managers, consultants, and other decision makers within the public health sector. Health sector companies face challenges in breaking into the NHS market.

In 2020 alone, the NHS blocked more than 140,000 phishing emails. Consequently, NHS organisations are becoming less susceptible to unwanted email. As a result of trust mergers over the past few years, a steady stream of new email formats has impacted NHS digital marketing lists countrywide.

The challenge is greater when you are talking to more senior audiences (like board members) within an NHS trust or primary care organisation, who have more stringent security controls.

To maximise their return on investment, marketers need to understand their audience, make sure they’re targeting the right people, and determine what specific messages will resonate with them.

The need for access to accurate, reliable NHS contact data has never been greater for brands trying to engage with National Health Service decision makers.

Email marketing can be powerful – but only if it reaches the right people

More Than Words Marketing uses research to build each health care database from our wider data file – based on the client’s specific needs and requirements. We’ll find out why an email bounces, and if a position changes, we’ll find out who’s in charge.

NHS email database FAQS

What information do I get with the contacts on the NHS email database?

We have the following details for decision making NHS staff contained on our UK public sector database:

  • postal address,
  • contact email address, and
  • contact phone number – the direct number for the contact or, where that is not available, the switchboard number.

For the NHS, you can select your targets using the following criteria:

  • the population covered (shown in bandings),
  • the number of GPs within a practice, and
  • the official code for the GP practice.

For care homes, you can search by:

  • the type of home, and
  • the capacity of a home.

Whenever you call, please let us know if you are looking for particular types of NHS organisations or decision makers.

What types of decision-makers are on your list of NHS emails?

The following five levels of decision making apply to our NHS email database:

  • Chief Officer – the most senior executive contact
  • Clerk or Secretary – often a statutory post, this person occupies the most senior administrative role within NHS organisations
  • Top level director – a senior director who reports directly to the Chief Officer
  • Second level or head or service – who report to a top level director or equivalent
  • Third tier or manager – two levels below the “top level director”, people in these roles report to second level decision makers.

There are also two levels of non-executive decision makers, and they are:

  • Chair – the most senior contact and
  • Vice/Deputy Chair – the second most senior ‘non executive’ contact who reports directly to the chair

We also have email addresses for Public Health England and Clinical Commissioning Group board and committee members.

What is the difference between executive and non-executive contacts in your NHS database?

Similar to private sector firms, executive contacts are employed by their NHS organisation, whereas non-executive contacts are not.

Non-executive decision makers bring value to NHS boards by challenging decisions made and introducing fresh ideas, much like a Parent Teacher Association in a school. Although most non-executive positions are paid, some are voluntary.

Which NHS departments and functions do contacts on the NHS database work for?

We have the latest contact information for the following NHS departments across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

  • Administration and Planning
  • Adult Services
  • Building and Engineering
  • Children’s Services
  • Communications
  • Emergency
  • Financial
  • Food
  • Health
  • IT & Computing
  • Land, property, and estates
  • Legal and law & order
  • Library and Information

I also want to run telemarketing and postal marketing campaigns. Do you have the data for that?

Yes. We can identify the healthcare professional most likely to purchase from you and provide you with their personal data.

The telephone contact details we have are drawn directly from our wider public sector calling list and the postal address details from our public sector mailing list.

Can you send email campaigns for my company?

Yes. Please ask us about our managed email marketing campaigns to the public sector

We also offer outsourced telemarketing campaigns to the public sector .

An NHS email database that contains only the contacts you need

Using our NHS email database allows you to market directly to decision makers within the NHS and GP practices. Also included are each contact’s telephone number (where available) and postal address.

We only provide you with the data that you need for your direct marketing campaigns. When you contact us, be clear about what you want to achieve and to whom you want to sell.

Then we’ll search our database for personal information for relevant contacts – those with a budget, authority, and the need to purchase.

It can be difficult for sales and marketing teams to navigate the general management and procurement structure of the NHS.
