Adhere to the email best practices of your target market

Best practice for email marketing isn’t an international standard. One example of how customs differ regarding marketing is how different countries deal with email follow-ups. In countries like the United Kingdom and, even more so, the US, following up is a natural part of the business culture.

This is because cold emailing here is quite common, prospects are used to receiving contact from other businesses, and less likely to be annoyed by further contact. However the opposite applies to France and other EU countries, where following up more than once in a week can easily be perceived line as obtrusive.
