Industry sector lists – what information we hold on companies and decision makers

Each record holds the following information:

  • title for salutations (for example, Mr, Mrs, Dr, Miss, and Sir)
  • name (separate fields for first and last name)
  • job title (the job title reported by the contact)
  • company name
  • line of business
  • legal status
  • postal address including 2 lines for the address, town, county, and postcode

We have telephone records for around 98% of the contacts on our database and around 35% of entries.

On the companies your target decision makers work for, we also hold the following:

  • number of employees (90%)
  • number of branches (90%)
  • type of premises (70%)
  • website address (75%)
  • level of turnover (banded) (60%)
  • year the original company began trading (40%)

The number in brackets indicates the percentage of companies across our entire UK business database for which we have the field of information shown completed. If one of these fields is particularly important to you (for example, you only want to target companies with more than 25 staff), please let your account manager know when you call us.

At More Than Words Marketing, we offer all of our clients access to an account manager from their first interaction with us.

This account manager can help you to work out which key industries are best to target for your marketing purposes.

If you work in the manufacturing sector, for example, they may suggest you choose a UK manufacturing list – either a wider manufacturing industry database, or more specific lists from the part of the supply chain you are targeting.

You may even be able to look at a different sector, depending on what products and services you are selling.

Do your industry sector lists contain sole traders and unincorporated partnerships’ email addresses?

No. We stopped collecting and providing the email contact addresses because, under the GDPR rules, the email addresses of sole traders and partners is now considered personal information.
